The cutting down of pine trees in Baguio City by SM to build their parking lot has troubled many Filipino people. Why not? The pine trees in Baguio are actually numbered. They are saying they are just balling them for tranfering to another place and they will add more trees planted elsewhere but they did not consider that the trees that will be moved will not all survive, all for the sake of business. There was a restraining order and the uprooting has been stopped but it should not have been given permit in the first place. When will people learn?

It’s that time of the year when spring cleaning is necessary. Every year, at least once, the utmost general cleaning happens in our home. Clothes are sorted out, paper stuff and bottles (the breakable and the plastic ones used for water). I have the most “trash” in this house but I consider them “treasure” since I turn them into something else. That is the point of recycling, right?
