If you have leftovers that got spoiled because it was not brought inside the refrigerator, what do you do? How do you dispose of it? Some with big farm lots will just throw it and let it dry on the soil. What if you do not even have soil? You would probably dump it down the toilet anf flush. A few days ago the stove burner produced small fire. I thought it was going to consume the last of it. Since I had coffee around its hose to conserve on fuel I thought it was just the coffee at work that is why its staying power is longer than it ought to be. I was able to heat water for coffee 3 times and even fry a kilogram of fish using that small flame. Thinking that maybe the coffee was just hampering the release of the gas, I removed them, yet it stayed the same, hence, I concluded the culprit must the the old single gas stove. So we agreed that we ought to buy a new one and let the 19-year old stove rest for good. It is now normal. Read the rest of this entry »

In the Philippines there is a five-centavo coin which has a hole at the center. Since the value is too small (the cost of production is even more expensive than the value of the coin), many take it for granted. For others, the less privileged, they nothing is without value. They will pick up the coin and 20 pieces of them will give them a peso which can buy one small candy. It takes about 15 pesos to buy half a kilogram of rice. Read the rest of this entry »
